CONSERVATIVE REFORMER CHAD PROSSER SIGNS CONTRACT FROM AMERICA AND OBAMACARE REPEAL PLEDGE
Former Sanford Cabinet Member Signs Pledges Advocating Limited Government, Economic Freedom and Obamacare Repeal
(Myrtle Beach, SC) – Today Chad Prosser, candidate for the Republican nomination in South Carolina’s new 7th Congressional District, signed the ‘Contract from America’ and the ‘Obamacare Repeal Pledge.’ These pledges bind the signer to fighting for limited government, economic freedom and the repeal of Obamacare.
The ‘Contract from America’ is a document that was generated by conservative grassroots activists across the nation and designed to bind candidates for office to upholding limited government and economic freedom. The ‘Obamacare Repeal Pledge’ binds signers to endorse and vote for all measures in the next Congress leading to the defunding, deauthorization, and repeal of Obamacare. The Repeal Pledge is a project of both Independent Women’s Voice and American Majority Action.
“I am a strong supporter of initiatives like these because Washington continues to spend taxpayers’ money at will and we need to change who we are sending to Washington,” said Prosser. “If more Representatives in Congress supported initiatives that fight for limited government and economic freedom, we would not be in the mess we are in.”
“Washington needs reform and I am the only candidate in this race who has rolled up their sleeves and tackled real reform,” Prosser added. “I know what it takes to fight and roll back bureaucracy from my time running the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. As a business owner I have seen firsthand the negative effects of Washington wasting taxpayer dollars and artificially distorting the free market.”
“As I tour the district I am continually asked what we can do to get America back on track,” said Prosser. “In my mind the first step is to get government out of the marketplace so that businesses can grow and create jobs. In Congress I will fight for a smaller, limited government in the spirit of pledges like these. One that spends less, taxes less and keeps its hands out of the free market.”
“Growing up in Florence County, having a business in Georgetown County and living in Horry now, I have seen what government overregulation and over involvement in the market has done to our communities,” said Prosser. “As a small businessman I have grappled with the burdens of larger government and at PRT I corralled government excess, overspending, and over involvement.”
Chad Prosser is a proven leader, job creator and a conservative reformer who is tired of what is coming out of Washington. Chad is running for Congress because he has the experience reforming government that Washington so desperately needs.
Prosser has also signed the Americans for Tax Reform ‘Taxpayer Protection Pledge.’
