PASTORS TO CONDUCT STATE HOUSE RALLY HONORING TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE AND RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Presidential Candidates and US Senator Tim Scott to Address Crowd as Well

Pastors from all across South Carolina are coming together in support of Biblical marriage and religious liberties. They are calling upon all Bible-believing Christians to gather on the grounds of the State House in Columbia, SC on Saturday August 29, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

The rally is the direct result of concern about the Supreme Court’s recent marriage decision and the tremendous implications it could have upon religious freedom in America.

“As citizens and patriots we cannot support nor obey the Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage. The decision will have far reaching negative effects on the religious liberties of churches, Christian ministries and individuals in the days and years to come,” said Pastor Chad Watson of Gloryland Baptist Church in Hartsville, SC.

“The written constitutions and bylaws of each individual church will NOT prevent government from overstepping its bounds and violating our religious liberties unless Christians rise up in opposition.”

The “We Stand with God” rally is designed to encourage and empower God-fearing Christian citizens and churches to take a stand for marriage and religious liberty. It will feature speeches by pastors and Christian activists as well as US Senator Tim Scott and Presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Rick Perry. (All Democratic and Republican candidates for President were invited.)

All Christians are invited to attend and encouraged to bring lawn chairs and bottled water for the two-hour event.

The “We Stand with God” rally is not sponsored by any organization. It is the result of a movement among pastors and citizens of various denominations to encourage their fellow Christians to take a stand for their values.
